All Visa informations
As per the decree n°MAEF1002202A of the 4th of February 2010, published on 13th of February 2010, visa applicants living in Iceland must apply at the French Embassy in Stockholm. These applications may be received by post (through our Embassy in Iceland).

Visa applicants must be able to justify their residence in Sweden up to the day they enter France
Residence permit must thus be valid on application day and when withdrawing the passport and at least up to the intended date of entry into France.
The only receivable document is the swedish residence permit card.
even if you have submitted an application for an extension to your residence permit in Sweden at Migrationsverket, and have the right to remain in Sweden while the Migration Board makes a decision, you are not eligible to apply for a visa in Stockholm, until you receive your new swedish residence permit card.
